Dr Jane Maxwell is an experienced GP with a special interest in women’s health, mental health, paediatrics, and chronic diseases. Jane completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2010 and has worked in clinical practice, public health, research and teaching. Jane worked in Melbourne’s tertiary hospitals for four years before commencing General Practice in 2014.

Dr Jane has done further training in women’s health and provides shared obstetric care with Barwon Health, and post-natal and menopause care. Jane has extensive general practice experience, including subspecialist work with refugees in community health services, with young people at Headspace and with aboriginal communities in remote and rural Australia.

Dr Jane combines her clinical work with education and research. Jane is a medical educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is an honorary fellow at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Jane is a mum to three little cherubs. When not at work, Jane enjoys adventuring with friends and family, running, ocean-swimming, yoga, reading and gardening.
