Dr Jim Galvin
Jim hails from Ireland where he studied medicine at University College Cork. After graduating with honours in 2007 he completed his intern year then spent 2 years working and travelling in New Zealand and Australia. After returning to Cork to complete his membership exams for the Royal College of Physicians, he couldn’t shake the love of the great outdoors Down Under. He spent three years at Geelong hospital working as a medical and ED registrar before commencing the GP training program in 2016.
Jim, who consults from our Anglesea practice, is passionate about chronic disease management, paediatrics and general medicine, and enjoys a good chat!
When he is not at work, he loves spending time with his family, and tries to get out on the golf course now and then. He is an avid sports fan and is still keeping the dream alive playing with the local Geelong Gaelic footie team!
